Green Scarfette

This weekend I finished the light blue lacy scarf for boss lady with a simple crochet edge. It turned out really soft and only took 2 skeins of yarn! Best of all, it probably only took about 4 hours overall to complete :)









I also worked on a little project of making some headbands. I took an old white button-up shirt and cut it into some strips. Then I took food coloring/water and painted on it. This isn't the best picture. I did a coat of yellowish over everything after this that made the colors bleed together more. I wish I had planned out the colors a bit more, but it was a fun and fast project that I'll probably do again with more thought.


Last night was knitting group at Adega. I made this little scarfette in seed stitch with a little crochet on the end.

The group was a lot of fun! We were all smooshed at one table, but then a lot of people called it an early night and the remainder of us were able to spread out a bit and chill. A woman asked us if she could film us to make a little movie about the group and about the relationships formed through the circle. There were probably some undertones in there about women coming together over an archaic craft. Basically the plot of every knitting book out there, most similar to "Friday Night Knitting Circle" that in fact has a woman doing a documentary film on the group and the women in the group.





Tonight we're making beads at Amy's place.

In other news...
Andy, the apartment-mate, moves out tomorrow. Work has been a bit crazy. And most importantly, Will comes up on Friday!
