Craft night : Wearing fancy jewels and nose rings.

After a long week of work and classes, I ran to the grocery store and frantically got home minutes before the first craftster arrived. Hmm...did I bite off more than I could chew here?

But the ladies trickled in and the wine started to flow and it turned into a wonderful evening. The ragged traces of the week were only evident when I realized that we were out of red wine..and I was the only one drinking red wine. But like art, I'm convinced that crafts only get better with a little inebriation.

Everyone seemed to eventually settle on the paper beads.

One craftster used patterned paper in wider loops to make earrings:


Another found magazine pages with similar coloring to create a cohesive but eclectic necklace:

This one used patterned paper in blues and wooden beads to create a necklace:

And finally this one used magazine ads in greens, blues, and lavenders:
